We offer a professional set of machined cold rolled steel with precise tappered ends to accomadate 7/16" - 1/2" ends to fit perfectly into torsion spring winding ends. Due to the above we offer them for the price marked.
In some cases you will need to remove an old spring in order to measure properly for you new springs. In order to do this job safely we suggest going to Home Depot or your nearest home type hardware store and purchase a piece of round steel stock. Dimensions needed are 1/2" round solid steel about 18" long each. You will need two pieces in order to wind and unwind your torsion springs one quarter turn by alternating bars.
Please use the right dimensions for your winding bars..Don't substitute at any cost. The home depot stores carry 1/2" round stock in 36" lengths that can be cut in two. Cost is around $7
The Home Depot or Lowes will carry 1/2 round steel bars that can be safely used as winding bars.
